Fuel Assistance Funds Still Available

Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program logoFuel Assistance money continues to be available

Community Teamwork is still making appointments and taking applications for the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (Fuel Assistance Program).

LIHEAP is funded by State and Federal Grant money from the Department of Housing and Community Development as an effort to help low income families pay their heating costs.  Due to the incredibly long, cold winter this season and the high cost of heating homes, the Federal and State government has recently released much needed additional funds.

Households that have not applied yet this year are encouraged to apply.  Households that have submitted their applications already will continue to be processed and notified of their benefit amount.

Applications for LIHEAP will continue until May 30, or until funds are depleted.

For questions about the program or outreach site locations, you may call Community Teamwork’s Fuel Assistance Program at (978)459-6161 or visit our website at www.commteam.org.
