Our vision captures the ultimate image of a fair, just, and beautiful life we can all share:

Our vision is a community of opportunity where fewer people live in poverty.  A future where clients are aware of opportunities available and how to access them so they achieve their potential for economic independence and personal growth.  Through teamwork, we want the community to be a committed and knowledgeable partner which results in fewer people living in poverty.  Community Teamwork wants to exceed client, funder and employee expectations.  We want clients, staff and community to be inspired to lead personal and community change.

We breathe life into our mission and vision by working hand in hand, every day, with our local, state and federal government; private foundations and citizens; and business, faith, human service, and education partners to advocate for policy change that leads to systems change and a better quality of life for all our citizens.

A great example partnerships creating change, is our shared efforts and advocacy on building better solutions to homelessness. This has led to a new model of service called Community Connection to Employment and Training. Our partnerships with the Paul and Phyllis Fireman Foundation, Eastern Bank, and dozens of workplace employers and education and training programs, has allowed us to leverage our resources with theirs to secure success for homeless families. Together, we have wrapped each family in secure housing, affordable child care and adult work and employment education and training.  To date, we have helped 57 families, half of whom are now working or in work training programs. All of them are enrolled in our Financial Literacy Academy and managing life on a planned budget. Please click on Success Story link on this page for details of one family’s success.
