Stony Brook Village Westford, MA

Common Ground built 15 units of family rental housing in the Stony Brook area of Westford in 2006 (Stony Brook I) and another 36 units (Stony Brook II) in 2016 in the area adjacent to it, across the street from the Stony Brook School to create a 51 unit community with access to athletic fields and recreational trails. The land is owned by the Westford Housing Authority and leased to CGDC for 99 years. 46 of the units are rented to tenants who earn 60% of the Area Median Income (AMI) or less including 13 units which have subsidies that are reserved for tenants at 30% of AMI.

Both phases of the project were assisted by The Town of Westford Community Preservation funds and Affordable Housing trust funds. Phase 1 was completed under the Mass. Housing Partnership Suburban Rental Pilot Program while Phase 2 was constructed using mainly Low Income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTC).
