Para mi, el mes de la Herencia Hispana significa tiempo de mostrar nuestras tradiciones y valores,y Una oportunidad para mostrar que juntos somos mas fuertes y que continuaremos contribuyendo al desarrollo de este país que nos ha adoptado, de nuestros países que nos vieron nacer y de nuestras familias que son nuestra inspiración para seguir adelante.
For me, Hispanic Heritage Month means a time to showcase our traditions and values, and
an opportunity to demonstrate that together we are stronger and will continue to contribute
to the development of this country that has adopted us, our home countries that saw us born,
and our families who inspire us to move forward.
Mi nombre es María Aybar, y soy la Directors de Operaciones y ayudé a fundar el Centro de Empoderamiento de la Comunidad Latinx (LCCE, por sus siglas en inglés). Una organización sin fines de lucro que busca empoderar a la comunidad Latinx a través de la educación para promover su desarrollo socioeconómico. Además de mi papel en la dirección de algunos de nuestros programas, también soy miembro de la junta directiva de Do It Yourself (DIY) Lowell, la Junta de Antiguos Alumnos del Middlesex Community College, los Becarios de Paz Greely en UMASS Lowell y el Comité Asesor de Subvenciones para el Desarrollo Comunitario.
My name is Maria Aybar, and I am the Director of Operations and helped found the Latinx Community Center for Empowerment (LCCE). A nonprofit seeking to empower the Latinx Community through education to promote their socioeconomic development. Besides my role directing some of our programs, I am also a board member for Do It Yourself (DIY) Lowell, Middlesex Community College Alumni Board, the Greely Peace Scholars at UMASS Lowell, and the Community Development Block Grant Funding Advisory Committee.
